The work for this milestone was a lot more than I originally anticipated which caused me to have to grind and carve out extra time out of my schedule. Overall I think it was worth it for the rough storyboards I got. I wouldn't say these are some of the best digital art drawings I have created, but they were good enough for me to get the ball rolling.
It felt good to finally get the whole story out of my head and onto a visual platform, it really helps me to feel out what the film will look like. There are still some scenes that I think will need another pass through with some additional boards, but that will be for an upcoming milestone. I think on that second pass it will be important for me to start labeling scenes and shots, so I can get more comfortable with setting up a schedule and goals for myself. I will also need to remember to have multiple layers for just one board so it will make the workflow for the animatic much easier and smooth.
