I won't lie, this past week started off very discouraging as I kept finding myself to be overwhelmed with my story and what I wanted to do. After much conversation and critique with my advisors for this project, I have decided to switch up my story quite a bit to be more manageable for the time frame given.
Unfortunately, the beloved monster had to be cut due to the time it would take to model a monster that also fits within the stylized look I want to achieve. Since the monster was cut, I had to replace it with another human character that will be a villain robbing the bank. This allows for me still play around with simulations and get creative in the 3D space.
I have been working on some new storyboards for my beginning and end sequence while working on a 3D animatic to get my timing right. It was recommended to me that I take more time to get my design right for my characters, so I have made a new mood board and expression sheet. I've worked a little bit on the modeling for my character, but my main focus has been giving this new story a visual look. By the next milestone, I want to be done with the animatic and mostly done the modeling of my main character Dan. The villian character will be almost the exact same build, so I should be able to copy the model and tweak it slightly.
