Man these milestones feel like they are coming up fast. I was hoping to have more work done by this milestone such as having my character and town fully modeled, but this process appears to be taking longer than initially planned. With critiques from class, I may have been very ambitious with this project, so I have to take the next couple of weeks to dial in what I really want to do. First thing is first though, I have to finish the 3D modeling.
I added more details and topology to my main character "Dan" model, specifically the head, which has had me feeling more confident in the design and style I'm going for. Tackling the character model was starting to feel like a headache that had me in a creative funk, so I decided to do something a little easier to still make some progress, model the town square. I began adding detail on some buildings that I know will be in view and my character will be in front. This part has been quite enjoyable, especially trying to capture the simplistic style. I'm not finished yet, so I want to begin texturing a couple buildings to see how this town square will really look. Another thing I have taken some time to do is test out how simulations work in C4D. I messed around with fracturing object and certain sim tags, so I could get a sense of how I should set up my scenes and how detailed the settings can get
My goal is to have the town square done by the end of this week, so I can then handle the headache of the character models. I suspect some late nights in my future. With all of this being said its time to lock in and finish this first phase of the project.
